This entity was started with the vision and goal in mind to excel in the ever expanding market of the Greater Smoky Mountains for spectacular architecture, also while providing a significant value to our clients with our all inclusive services that produce everlasting results and relationships.

David Hensley
Managing Director

Born in Kingsport Tennessee, David is a loving husband and father to his wife Madison and one amazing daughter. David has over 9 years of residential, commercial, and industrial construction experience supporting over $200M in revenue constructing custom homes, subdivisions, national cemeteries, military bases, and explosive plants.
In 2017, David began his career in construction and real estate investment, focusing on buying land for real estate development in the Smoky Mountain and Eastern TN areas. Furthermore, gaining invaluable experience in various construction fields. David’s passion is to provide an experience and product to our clients that can only be found at Modern Smokies, and create a staple for the community that lasts for generations.
When David is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, racing events, and traveling.
Ahmad Lovell
Director of Operations
Client Relations
Born in Kingsport Tennessee, Ahmad is a loving husband to Kaylee and one amazing daughter. Ahmad graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2021 with a bachelors degree in construction management, and also holds his MBA from the Louisiana State University. Ahmad has over 5 years of industrial, and residential construction experience supporting $500M in revenue constructing custom homes and explosive plants.
In 2020, Ahmad began his career in construction and real estate investment, focusing on buying land for real estate development in the Smoky Mountain and Eastern TN areas. Furthermore, gaining invaluable experience in various construction field's. Ahmad’s passion is to provide an exceptional project and client construction experience that creates lifelong clients and friends.
When Ahmad is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, boating, concerts, and traveling.
